Glorious Herbaceous Planting Beds

What: A large Traditional Garden

Where: Lichfield

When: July 2011

Large detached period property set in 1 acre gardens.

Client brief -To extend the patio creating more seating and useable outdoor space. To improve access to the vegetable area to the rear of the garden. Planting had to be as rabbit proof as possible as the critters were everywhere! The clients were very keen gardeners.

A large area of sandstone paving with sandstone cobbles was laid.  A series of oblong sandstone blocks were laid to break up a large gravelled area, creating an open pathway effect.

The hard landscaping was broken up by swathes of colourful, interesting planting.

Our clients were really enthusiastic and great to work for and called upon G-Scapes to undertake several further projects.  This was good as we were able to see how the original planting had matured one year on.  It looked lovely, proving how important it is to select the right plants for each location and the prevailing conditions.

All the plants were carefully chosen from the extensive range of plants at our own Fullbrook Nursery.
