What: A Garden For All Year Round Interest

Rear Garden - Phase
The clients have a large 1 acre garden and are very keen
gardeners. It is a new build with a flat, open, turfed area at the
Client brief - to transform a boring garden by
introducing all year round interest.
This was achieved by creating colourful and structurally
interesting sweeping borders. At the client's request, G-Scapes
also constructed and planted a woodland area and Pinetum, giving a
lovely shaded area. The photos of the garden taken 1 year on show
the increased size and maturity of the stunning flowering
herbaceous perennials, all of which were grown on our own Fullbrook
Nursery…..an impressive and much appreciated garden
The front presented a further challenge as it was a typical
block paved drive with a small border and grassed area in front of
Client brief - to break up and add interest to a large
G-Scapes built an imposing sandstone rockery to give height and
structure and to present the opportunity for lots of colourful
planting for all year colour and interest. Incorporated within the
scheme was a stainless steel water feature to add another dimension
- the soothing sound of falling water.
Rear Garden Phase 2
Most of the gravel paths and lawns were in place.
Client brief - to replicate the stunning laburnum arch
which the client had seen at Bodnant Gardens in North Wales. What a
G-Scapes constructed the lovely curved pergola walkway, which is
now planted up with laburnum. As the plants mature and cover the
arch, the effect will be superb and hopefully give as much pleasure
as its Bodnant prototype!!
